Questions before you call

The ones we hear most, answered plainly. Your situation may change the answer, so ask us at the free meeting.

Is the first meeting really free?

Yes. Forty-five minutes with Teodora, in person or on video, and no obligation to hire us. If you do, fees and court costs are set out in writing before any work starts.

Do you really meet on Saturdays?

Every Saturday from 9am to 1pm, by appointment. It’s often the first slot to fill, so book a week or two ahead if you can.

What should I bring to the first meeting?

Recent pay stubs, last year’s tax return, any papers you’ve been served, the children’s school schedule and a list of questions. Missing something is fine.

Will you tell my spouse I called?

No. What you tell us is confidential. We ask for your spouse’s name only to make sure we haven’t spoken with them.

Can I text the office?

Yes, for scheduling and quick questions during office hours. Please save private details for a call or a meeting.

My spouse already has a lawyer. What now?

Don’t sign anything yet. Bring what you’ve been given to the free meeting, and we’ll tell you what it means and what the deadlines are.

Do I have to go to court?

Often only briefly. Many families settle through agreement or mediation, and the final hearing can be short. If a judge needs to decide, we prepare you.

Do you offer payment plans?

For many cases, yes. Rowena will go through the options with you once you have the written fee agreement.

Your question isn’t here?

Ask it at the free first meeting, or text it to the office.

The first meeting is free. Fees and court costs after that, such as filing and service fees, are set out in a written agreement before any work starts.
